일본의 수출규제로 인해 일본산 제품 불매운동이 확산되면서 점차 장기화에 대한 우려가 커지고 있다. 단기적으로는 불매운동으로 인한 영향이 미미하거나 아예 없는 수준이지만, 이같은 추세가 장기화될 경우 눈에 띄는 변화를 만들어낼 수 있다는 우려다.

현재 온라인상에서는 자동차, 전자기기, 패션잡화, 의류, 유통, 식품 등 다양한 분야의 일본산 제품을 불매하자며 해당 브랜드 리스트가 공유되고 있다. 일본을 대표하는 패스트패션 브랜드 유니클로부터 아사히·기린 등 맥주, 제트스트림 등 필기구, 도요타 등 자동차 브랜드까지 종류도 수백여가지에 달한다. 이에 일부 국내 기업들이 리스트에 오르며 튄 불똥을 맞기도 했다.
